Lavender Cottage, one of a pair of estate workers' cottages, built in 1867, is a charming, comfortable cottage, refurbished this year, and has a delightful private courtyard garden. The cottage is approached by a private road to the rear of the property, and has off-road parking for two cars.
The entrance to the cottage is accessed from the courtyard. The door opens into the terracotta floored kitchen, well equipped with dish washer, washing machine, fridge, table top freezer, microwave, gas cooker, toaster and a full complement of kitchen accessories. The kitchen leads through to the large dining area with a pine table and chairs seating six comfortably.

Through the archway is the spacious sitting area with two sofas. Flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD, and a IPod/IPhone /mp3 docking station. There is also a selection of books, board games and DVDs available for the whole family to enjoy. While the gas cast-iron stove ensures that the whole area is warm and cosy on colder days and evenings. There are cupboards with old pine doors which contain iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, child high chair and garden accessories).

Heating is by gas fire, storage heater and convector heaters. Heating and electricity charges are included in price.

Stairs lead upstairs to the family bathroom with full sized bath with shower overhead and airing cupboard.The master bedroom has a wrought iron double bed, wardrobe, dresssing table and bedside tables, and full length mirror. The second bedroom has twin beds, shelved cupboard, wardrobe and bedside tables. Bedroom three has bunk beds, suitable for 2 children or one adult using the bottom bunk, there is hanging rail for clothes (additional space available on landing). A travel cot is also available which can be placed in the double bedroom.

The sunny, scented, courtyard garden, with a miniature herb garden, is equipped with table and chairs, bench, deckchairs and barbeque. One gate leads to the grassed parking area, while another leads to the main road and to the beach.

Please note that the cottage front garden is adjacent to the main A149 coastal road and whilst there is no traffic noise within the cottage it should be noted that care should be taken when crossing this road as there is no pavement on cottage side. The gate that leads from the courtyard to the access path to the road has an additional bolt on the rear so children cannot open it inadvertently.
